Only if you had spent the latest two weeks in Mars you would have missed knowing Valentine's Day is saturday. The promotions are everywhere, the adverts are more than everywhere.
I have been reading a lot of people saying "I don't like Valentine's Day", and I think it's a bloody lie! Well, maybe not entirely a lie... but people should come clean about it and write instead "I won't be celebrating Valentine's Day this year". Because in the end it's all about having a boyfriend/girlfriend/relationship. 95% of those who say they hate Valentine's Day are currently off a relationship! Because if you have a relationship, you celebrate Valentine's Day! Simple as!
And before you start calling me names, let me just also say I view Valentine's Day as nothing but a commercial gimmick, and rationaly speaking, the amount one spends on a partner should never serve as representation of your love. And that if you love someone, you should show it every day of the year, not just on February 14th. But what a turn-off it would be if on that special date we just did what we normally do!!
And this is why my love can rest assured I will celebrate Valentine's Day on saturday!
