Heath Ledger RIP

04 Apr 1979 - 22 Jan 2008

"Heath Ledger's Lonesome Trail - His dad wanted him to race cars. Hollywood wanted him to play Spider-Man. But he wanted to play a gay cowboy. Now he's a huge star, and he's not happy about it" - Rolling Stone magazine, March 2006.

I'm still in shock over the "suicide" of Heath Ledger last night in New York. I confess I didn't rate the guy very much from what I saw in Knight's Tale, but he was great in Monster Ball and in Lords of Dogtown. In the past month or so I was trying to see everything I could about the new Batman movie, where critics say he was doing the best Joker ever!!
It's so sad to see such a young talent go to waste, specially when the media attention (and the studios) seems to focus more and more on young people devoid of talent...
