The rebirth of Britpop?

The news hit me like a smack in the face: BLUR are together again and performing next Summer (3rd July) in a huge concert in Hyde Park!! Rumours have it they will also headline Glastonbury 09!

One of my favorite bands of all time, they were in the forefront of the Britpop movement in the mid-90's, but disbanded when Graham Coxon decided his shyness was a bit too much for the size the band had become.

Can this be the return of Britpop all over again? If you listen to Lily Allen's new single "The Fear", which was out today, the answer is YES!!! She is becoming Echobelly's Sonya or Dubstar's Sarah, and in a really good way too! I never imagined saying this, but the track is amazing!!
